BLUES SOCIETY B-DAY PARTY
BLUES CHOICE AWARDS

.

Some of Tulsa's finest Blues artists will be honored Saturday, March 24th at Fassler Hall, 304 S. Elgin, in downtown Tulsa, when the Blues Society of Tulsa celebrates its 11th B-Day anniversary. The music will be sizzling as the event recognizes some of Tulsa’s most talented, who were chosen in voting By BST members for the 2011 Blues Choice Awards. The Dustin Pittsley Band, named Best Group in the voting, will be providing the music. The band is made up of guitarist/vocalist Dustin Pittsley, Bassist Donnie Wood & Drummer Doug Wehmeyer. Dustin also will receive awards for Best Vocalist & Best Rhythm. Other Blues Choice Award winners have been invited as special guests to perform at the event. Wanda Watson will receive her 3rd Best Vocalist Award, while her saxophonist in the Wanda Watson Band, David Russell will receive a
Best Rhythm Award. Bassist Jim Summerlin of the Hard Rockin' Blues Band - 3rd Degree and the Bobbisox Monday night jam Drummer David Knight will also be recognized in the Best Rhythm category.
